Information related to basic and applied science which has been
developed with avian species found in Mexico is published in this section.
Information presented may or may not be experimental. Manuscripts considered for
publication in this section should present results of original research, novel
syntheses of knowledge or thorough revisions of ornithological theories,
methods, or practices.
Information referring to species lists, abundance of avian
groups, and studies of monitoring and population dynamics are published in this
section of the journal.
NEW RECORDS AND RANGE EXTENSIONS SECTION
Information on avian species registered in Mexico which have not previously been reported in the country, or which are rarities, is published in this section. Also, information is presented referring to species' range extensions.
Included here are articles related to the conservation of
species, or having to do with sites important to their conservation (when the
manuscripts have a clear relationship to the avifauna), as well as reports on
the use of these resources by human communities.
Information about techniques and new metods, or significants modifications to they, suggested or developed by the own authors, to teach and spread ornithological practices, are published in that section. Besides, here will be published papers related to mexican ornithological history. General papers about particular subjects will be not published here, because there are other journals or magazines where it can be published in Mexico (e.g., Boletín CUAUHTLI, Revista DUMAC).
